Built-in Closets

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone to build closets in an existing bedroom? Design and build.

SHH used to do this professionally, so she might have contacts for you, although I believe she doesn't work with that company any more.

And do a search on MOL for the word "closet." You will find a lot of threads on this, among which is pmartinezv's epic on her champagne walk-in closet on a beer budget.

anyone else? we could use this as well

i had Tony with Summit build me two wardrobes vs closets- are you looking for a fully framed closet or more of a wardrobe? LOVE them as they are all shelves -- my style has shifted from more formal wear requiring hanging to casual which is more folded stuff

I've been thinking along those lines, too, new207040. I'm also developing an aversion to dressers, because when you open the drawer, all you see is the top item, unless you push stuff around/lift things up. I like the idea of shelving because you can see the edges of everything.

Store stuff sideways and you will see everything and be able to get it out without making a mess. I do this for all my items.

PCG, I used to work for a closet company. Do you need to entire structure built, as a built in type piece of furniture or did you want a carpenter to build out the closet, Sheetrock and add doors, and then do the closet interior? Happy to offer advice

I was thinking that as I typed that post, because I have seen that suggestion on organizer blogs, but I have enough trouble with my husband's dresser as it is. When he is looking for something, he unfolds everything in a drawer and then shoves things back in without re-folding. No way would that system work for him. And what about the really deep drawers, which I have in one of my dressers? I'm willing to try it for my stuff, but I think I'm still SOL when it comes to my husband's clothes. I've kind of given up on that.
