Bridal shower venue archived

Looking for a spot to hold a bridal shower in June. Looked at Above today but interested in hearing about other venues as well. Specifics: about 50 people, not looking to spend more than $40/head. Maplewood country club is out (wedding reception is there) and Giorgios too (rehearsal dinner is there). Not looking to do it in a place where we have to rent tables etc. Would love to keep it to the general Maplewood, South Orange, Millburn, Summit area. Any ideas are appreciated!
Ursino is a beautiful space with terrific food. I believe they have outdoor seating when it's warm.

Melovino Meadery? http://www.melovino.com/ (behing the Vauxhall shopping center, where Staples is located)

restaurant serenade in chatham, hilton short hills, highlawn pavilion

I saw someone having theirs at Ricaltons last Sunday during brunch-- they have a private area.

There is an event space in South Orange in the village, I think it is called Just Come Mingle, https://www.facebook.com/JCMeventspace
They have an in house caterer specializing in Caribbean food.

Coda has a room that I believe would accommodate 50. Worth a phone call.

We went to an absolutely beautiful wedding shower at La Pergola in Millburn. We had the whole restaurant and the owner will work with you on price. The bridal party set up a candy bar in one section that was a big hit.

Thank you Neighborly - my mom and sister went there today - looks like this is the spot!!!!

Basilico (Millburn) has a side room - an enclosed garden-style room - that might work. You could give them a call to see if it would work out pricewise for you. It's a lovely room, with heaters for chilly spring evenings and planters of flowers scattered throughout.

Sorry - didn't see the prior post - hope you have a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful first birthday party for our twins a few years ago at the Grand Summit Hotel. It was really lovely - a wonderful brunch buffet (lots of compliments on the food). We looked at a few different venues and for what we wanted, they were the most reasonably priced (it really was quite reasonable for all we got - including an entire dessert buffet). We had about 50 people.

I would suggest Verjus in Maplewood. Wonderful food, private room and a full bar.

Also upstairs at Basilico's can work well, I was able to get it for a saturday wedding luncheon for a really small group, cannot comment on pricing per head. Also worth asking at Moonshine, use upstairs space.
