Breadstand Open!

The Breadstand opened today on Boyden between Jacoby and Menzel. Went for some coffee and pastries. Bought a loaf of whole wheat sourdough, delicious. So excited to have a place to grab a coffee and breakfast in walking distance in Hilton!

Yum!  We've been waiting for that opening, too!

Visited the Bread Stand today at  9:30 am. The crowd was rather thick. Fortunately I was able to park

in their lot . When this was a candy store I avoided it like the plague because  the parking lot is rather

tight and I find it challenging to maneuver, but since it is in my neighborhood in the future i will just take a stroll over. I did enjoy the hot chocolate as well as my ham and cheese croissant, I liked the design  the staff was friendly and service was fast. I am so pleased to finally have an establishment like this in Hilton I hope it is a sign of things to come.

When I went today the owner was blocking off the parking lot with orange cones.  The lot was full and there isn't a way to turn around.  I parked nearby on Jacoby.

The pastries and bread were great.

We tried it out the other day and my mind was officially blown.  The pastries were SO FRICKIN GOOD!!!  OMG, the danishes were to die for.  Literally the best danishes I have had east of the Rockies.  They reminded me of the danishes from Nabolom in Berkeley which had the second best danishes I ever ate.

I highly recommend!

I also had a cappuccino and my daughter had a hot chocolate.  Both were quite well made.

The croissants are absolutely delicious. They are just as good as the ones in Hong Kong where they are prolific.  Parking a little iffy. Guess it depends on the time of day.

This place is pretty far west of the Rockies.  Like most of the globe west.

We just parked around the corner.

Seems to be what everyone does. I live on that street and the parking down at the end is jammed these days.

I've been in there once (so far) and was immediately aware that the surrounding neighbors would probably be none-to-happy with the new parking scenario even though the establishment is otherwise a nice addition to the neighborhood.

I’ve been 3x since TBS’s opening. Bread, pastries, and coffee are all delicious. Each time the parking lot has been cordoned off. Starting to suspect lot will never be opened to general public...guess it’s only for owner and staff?

The lot is very small and was causing traffic issues on Boyden when they had it open. It will most likely never open to the public and will be for deliveries and employees only.

I think most of us on Menzel are okay with the increased traffic because it means that the Bread Stand is open and serving the neighborhood. Some of the employees live in the immediate surrounding streets so it's helping the neighborhood too. Lots more people here but it's good for us and for the business.

@als4532 Thanks, good to know the backstory. Will continue parking on side streets and walking over.

Thought I would stop by today but could not find a parking space. Nevertheless drove by and it seemed to be closed.Anyone know what’s the story? Everything is so delicious. Are they still there or have they moved?

It is open 7 am - 4 pm every day.  There is no parking in front of the store or in their lot.  You will need to park on the side streets nearby.

Thank you for the good news. Will try tomorrow.

Try the Fresh Blueberry Danish!

So delicious.
