not really any closer than Roman, Gourmet and Trattoria
I was to Porta Rossa Pasta - they have a nice selection of sandwiches. And they have Mafalde (or malfaldine) pasta. Which is really hard to find.
I think the owner of Artie’s still owns the building where the Breadstand was.
My guess is he’s betting on a transformation of that neighborhood as the housing market continues to be hot. There’s a lot of Maplewood homes in that area who probably appreciate more convenient choices for restaurants.
