Blue Wave's A'coming

I believe I am correct that Dems. have won every special election since 2017, except one. The singular exception was the Virginia election where a judge disqualified one vote. That resulted in a tie which was settled by drawing a name out of a hat. The winner was a Republican.

There was the big loss in Georgia.

But the trend has definitely been in Dem's favor since then. I am convinced there will be a big blue wave in November.

The Democrats focused on Trump. They need to more focus on what Trump's policies are doing.

For example, how many senior know that the current Trump budget cuts Medicare. He promised Medicare would not be cut, but it is.

One cut is the Part D Drug donut hole. Those in the donut hole, about 20% of Part D patients, will be paying 1,000 more out of pocket.

Be careful what you hope for, you might get it.

Suppose the Dems flip enough seats, I think the number is 24, to take over the House of Reps. With a slight Majority will they be able to get anything done? If not they will be blamed and in 2020 Trump or whoever is the Republican Presidential candidate can run against "The do nothing Congress". But if the Dems flip just enough seats that the Republicans remain in control but only by one or two seats they will get the blame for nothing being done.

I would like to see the Dems take control of the Senate. It's a long shot but would be more advantageous in that they could block Trump's judicial appointments.

"Blue Wave's A'comin:

As my grandmother used to say, "from your lips to G-d's ears."

Hopefully but he is riling them up at CPAC. He distinguishes them from us, as the ones who are patriotic. He is revving them up to vote in 2018 telling them that we are not even grateful for the tax cuts, ignoring the 12 Democratic states that will no longer be able to deduct their state and local taxes. He has been very effective at making them hate us and that can motivate turnout.

"Inevitable" - only IF Dems campaign much much smarter than in 2016 (see BG9 post above) and go all out to get out the vote.

He's doing the bit about the snake. You knew I was a snake before you let me in. He refers to the immigrants, but it is he who is the snake. Apologies to snakes.

Those who attend  a CPAC convention are certainly going to vote, and nothing said or unsaid is going to change how any of them vote.

It's called "Preaching to the choir".

And they still don't get the irony:

Send some money to Beto O’Rourke. He’s starting to build momentum in Texas. Repeal Ted Cruz.
