Binoculars

Do young boys still like binoculars?  

We have 3 very nice (modern) pairs that are never used.  I initially though that we should give them to our young nephews (ages 8-12) but then worried that they may no longer be a "thing".  

Thoughts? 

I can think of all sorts of ways in which imaginative young nephews can use and enjoy binoculars.  If you afraid that they will not be able to come up with some on their own, include a card with some serious and humorous suggestions.

I just realized that it is 2 nephews and 1 niece!  (Binoculars are certainly gender-neutral.) 

They are always great.    Concerts, sports games, bird watching, whatever.  And yes Bird watching, haha.
