Best wine-of-the-month club?

My sister and I are planning to get our dad a wine-of-the-month club gift for his 70th birthday. Any recommendations for a particularly good one?

How good is "good" cost-wise?  Bounty Hunter has one or two that are pretty good as is Gold Medal.

I've used Gold Medal and would recommend them.  

We loveˆ Pacific Victoria Wine Club, which we've subscribed to since 2008. They're based in the Pacific Northwest, and all of their wines are from small vineyards in Oregon, Washington, and Northern California that are extremely hard to find east of the Rocky Mountains. The current director of the club, Ron Grasty, is a winemaker himself and incredibly enthusiastic about his discoveries. He's also very responsive to emails and phone calls and goes out of his way to accommodate specific tastes. Very reasonable subscription costs, but best of all is that the wines you get are almost impossible to find without the subscription.
