Best Bakery in New Jersey

Wish I could run around town passing out cigars like George when Harry Bailey won the Medal of Honor, but announcing it here will have to do! (Hope I’m not running afoul of Jamie and Daves’ rules (please delete if so))

Many of you former Brooklynite’s may remember my sister Melissa’s patisseries in Brooklyn- Sweet Melissa’s.

Well, she closed up shop in Brooklyn and moved to Clinton,NJ and promptly, as in this morning, was named Best Bakery in NJ by NJ.com!

So proud of my sister! Still time for holiday treats if you are up for the 40-minute drive west.

Congratulations!  I love the article - it is making me hungry for a real french pastry! Also very cool that a small family run shop is recognized!

Whoops, I missed it, but I’ve watched it now. Great to see a full eating area, too, for what I assume was a randomly timed visit. 

If your sister is that attentive to the garland, I can only imagine the amount of care that goes into the baking. (One of these days, I’ll try to get out there so I don’t have to imagine.)

Guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
