Benihana founder - Rocky Aoki dead at 69 archived

Rocky Aoki, the colorful founder of the Benihana steakhouse restaurants that made Japanese hibachi-style cooking famous in the U.S., has died. He was 69.
Known for his adventurous spirit and keen business sense, Mr. Aoki, who lived in Tenafly for several years, died Thursday night in New York City, said a spokeswoman for the restaurant chain.
