Bear alert! Collinwood between Ridgewood and Wyoming

Bear spotted around 8 this morning headed across Ridgewood, up Collinwood towards Wyoming, cutting through driveways and backyards. Police were notified.

Thanks for the heads up. That awfully close to tomorrow's parade route. I will pass the information on to the parade organizers when I see them later today.

Do we know if any effort is being made to capture and relocate him? I'm afraid something bad will happen and it won't end well for the bear.

Pretty sure the marching band will scare it away if it's near the parade.

Friends saw the bear yesterday morning around 7amover by Parker. It was running though yards/up driveways.

Sounds like there is more than one bear - or it certainly gets around!

No seriously, that's a good point... admittedly I have a perhaps irrational fear of bears, but these sightings make it seem not so irrational. And, I'm a jogger (though I prefer the term "runner," LOL). I hadn't thought about this, but that sighting mentioned above near Parker is way too close to home!
