Battery recycling question

I asked this awhile back and received an answer.  Unfortunately, I don't remember what the answer was and I can't find it using the search function.

I have a battery that came out of a battery back up and I need to know if it can be recycled at the UPS store or do I have to wait until the next hazardous waste drop off date?  It is marked CSB HC 1217W

Same question for a Power Wheels battery that will no longer take a charge,

Yes I can take both batteries into the recycle stream.
