AT&T or Verizon Or Maybe Some Other Phone Service?

I am in the market for a new phone plan for myself and wife.  I definitely want to keep our iPhones.  Assuming either Verizon or AT&T.  I have had better luck studying my health insurance policies than hacking through these plans.  Thoughts on which, AT&T or Verizon (or another company), is better in our area in terms of service (fewer dead zones) as well as better plans from a pricing perspective?

I've been on AT&T for years and years, never had a problem with dead zones except inside Target.  Have no idea how they compare for price though, they're the only carrier I've ever used.

+1 for AT&T as well.  Inside the depths our basement, regular phone signal is not great BUT that is completely remedied by using WiFi calling.

Also, they recently reviewed my plan, one that I had been on since about 2006 and offered me a similar plan (same unlimited data, texting) with a couple of tweaks with a decent savings from my old plan.  Lastly, they have improved their international (when traveling) plan - for $10 a day in most (dare I say "modern") countries like most of Western Europe, one has the same service (calling, texting, data) as the US.  Much better than a few years ago when the calls and data rates were EGREGIOUS (or one swapped out one's SIM for a local one).

I've tried lots of cell companies, including the small ones. I came back to AT&T. Verizon generally doesn't have an edge any more in extent of coverage. Verizon charges more. Verizon disables features in phones, which AT&T doesn't do. AT&T isn't the cheapest, but it's reliable, and customer service has been good. T-Mobile has better rates than AT&T and arguably better customer service, but coverage just is not as good.

you mean you way to keep Apple iPhones in general or you already have phones you want to keep using? If phones, what plan are they on now? Not all phones work on all networks. And with the sales they have for new customers ( especially on Black Friday), sometimes it cheaper (almost free) to upgrade to a new phone.

Anyone have opinions on Sprint regarding coverage, service, pricing?

we have Sprint and it’s really the cheapest option around by far for true unlimited. I have found them to be vastly improved from a billing and customer service perspective (from when we briefly had them 15 years ago). I never have any call drop issues. I do find internet service occasionally spotty. Around here it’s usually fine, I sometimes have issues in the city and in other parts of the US. It’s neber anything terrible- just a slow connection. I use my phone for email, surfing the web- I do not usually play games or stream movies/tv shows.

I know my Verizon service probably isn’t the least costly, but I have had a signal when others near me have not on many occasions.  And Verizon also has that $10/day international service, which is great. (For the $10, only charged on days that you use it, your data and voice/text usage is just as if you were in the US, as part of your normal plan, and that includes calls within that country and back to the US.)
