Anyone watching "Grace and Frankie" on Netflix?

Just saw some reviews plus an interview with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in Entertainment Weekly, and can't wait to check this out. LOOK at that cast!

Watching it now, season 1 episode 2. Very entertaining but of course I just LOVE all of the actors. Fun!

Episode 3 is a kick ass killer. The best line "if the can't see you they can't stop you." Loving it.

After the third episode it wasn't funny to me any more. Too much heart break. To real in what a breakup of a relationship does to people. Too sad.

It's not really funny. There are some funny lines, but it's more like a character study. I happen to love it. I love Saul and Robert's relationship. I like where Grace and Frankie are headed in their friendship. And, I definitely can relate to some things in it. I like it. I'm pretty far in, almost done with the 1st season, and hoping there's a 2nd! grin

We're enjoying it - the poignancy as well as the humor.

I watched it all over the last few days. This is character-driven dramedy. I enjoyed the performances, even though some of the plot devices were a little weak.  I had a feeling that I was watching "Kate and Allie on Social Security"

And...for what its worth, I wonder if I have enough time left on earth to dig up my old Jane Fonda work out tapes (Feel the Burn!) WOW! She looks phenomenal!

She does! I want what she's having!

I think Sam Waterson and Martin Sheen (to a lesser extent) are holding the show back. Sam Waterson struggles with the comedy and tenderness of his role, and their relationship does not feel genuine.

I agree. Or at least it feels more like an old couple and less passionate/immediate.

I just have a problem seeing Jack McCoy and President Bartlet as a couple.

I enjoyed it.  It's like comfort food TV.  Nice to relax to in the evening.

Just finished the whole season 1 and can't wait for Season 2 (if there is a Season 2).  Despite the main characters being old  (70's) and rich, I could totally relate to their situation.  It's not perfect, and some of the subplots (and characters) are annoying, but overall very watchable.  Fonda and Tomlin are great together.

Watched episode 3 tonight.  I love the way the four lead actors seem to be having such a good time with this series.

waterson and sheen are so terribly miscast. They really ruin every scene they're in. Tomlin And Fonda are great. As is the woman who plays Briana.

This show is like a "find!" I am loving it so far, and I think that Sheen and Waterston are perfect. It is not flawless, but it is thoroughly engaging and believable. Well done.

I have to agree. I like all the lead actors in their roles. Also love Briana and Bud... I kind of expect that things will heat up with Sheen and Waterston (if they make it through Sol's transgression!) next season.

Just finished season 2 and I can't beLIEVE we have to wait 11 months for the next season. We starting watching season 1 about 2 weeks ago, to give you an idea of how much we loved it.

Well, at least it will be on again.  I was worried that it was over.

Love that show.  Started binge watching the day it came out.  Fonda and Tomlin are amazing together.   The others are good, although I find them all annoying on some level.  They have grown on me.

Yes, Fonda and Tomlin are amazing together. The kids are great, too. I particularly like June Diane Raphael as the daughter Briana. The writing is pretty good. But, my oh, my, Waterson and Sheen are terrible. Their gay doesn't come off as the least bit believable.

yeah I noticed that, but I think they are getting a bit better.  Maybe.  The kids make me cringe.  But I so love the show anyway.

Sol and Robert have grown on me. Maybe the actors are getting more comfortable in the roles and with each other? I have to assume there were no gay 70 year old actors available to play the husbands.

Brianna cracks me up on the show but I have a feeling I would not be able to take much of her in real life.

I like the Bud-Coyote chemistry. I think they're funny together.

And of course the core of the show is Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. Man they are a pleasure to watch. Frankie makes me pine for justmelaura (and I'm actually tearing up a little as I type this). She has the same kind of nutty uninhibited warmth and love.

Can we talk about this year? Is it still a spoiler free zone?

this year? Is there a third season?

I have been feeling the justmelaura thing, too!

Basically I agree on every point.

I just wanted to make sure we were out of the season 2 spoiler zone.
