Anyone here ever do any last-second, sick child babysitting?

My babe is sick on my last day of classes (teaching), and hubs is out of town. Baby's fever was high enough that I could not go in to work. Most of the time, it works out that when either kid is sick, one of us can manage to stay home. This has not been the case recently, and I'd love to have somebody I could call locally, whom I could meet ahead of time.

I've gone through sittercity and care.com in the past and never found someone I'd want regularly. Thanks!

Just throwing this idea out there as I have no idea if this would pan out but maybe contact Seton Hall and see if there are any nursing or education students who would be interested.  There is also Seton Student Sitters.  The little I know is that they have a website/Facebook page and, I believe, most of the sitters are SHU students.  Good luck and hope your little one is feeling better soon!
