Anyone ever ordered/eaten sandwich wraps from Costco? Where else to order for budget function archived

Need to have decent nibbles for a 7:30 weeknight meeting, for those who will arrive straight from work. Not meant to be dinner for everyone, but something substantial to stave off growling tummies. The food should be easy to eat while standing and maybe holding a small plate or napkin.

We're planning to offer a decent sized platter of wraps, crudite & dip, and maybe cheese, although cheese gets expensive quickly. Also, probably some chips and cookies and/or brownies for something sweet. Just going with bottled water to save the expense of putting out coffee and tea.

We don't know how many will show, and have a limited budget, just to make it harder!

So, Costco has catering, but I've never experienced it myself. Of course, it's cheaper than the known catering available locally, but are they tasty? We want to maximize the offerings, but don't want people tasting and then tossing the food out.

TIA!

It's like there's a party in your mouth and everyone's invited.

I kid. They're fine. They taste like a wrap. I've used them for events a bunch of times and no one has ever taken a bite, clutched their throat, and yaked into the nearest trash can.

They are ok, you won't be impressing anyone but the wraps that I had a few years back were decent.

They are okay, not great. IMO, not worth the cost LOL

Check out the sandwich platters at the Parkwood Diner in Maplewood. They are really great and the cost is reasonable.

They are bland, but edible.

They are bland and unimaginative, but no one will die.

This is exactly what I was hoping for - I love MOL!

Just called Parkwood. Other than location, Parkwood seems ideal! (Event in Montclair...) I may do the schlep anyway, because they can even do a same-day order.

Thanks for the responses, everyone!

They're fine for the purpose you're describing. Nothing special but easy to eat, tasty and simple. We get them occasionally for my office too. No one has complained yet.

I,ve enjoyed Trader Joe wraps many times. They,re larger enough to cut in half and still provide a substantial snack. There,s a reasonable variety of interesting combos. Cut ,em in half, remove cellophane wrapper and spread on a platter.
At $3.99 can,t be beat. And they really taste good.

I ordered the Costco wraps for my kid's b-day party and ended up with way too many leftovers. I also ordered the croissant sandwiches and never have a single one left over. I now skip the wraps and buy the sandwiches instead. The sandwiches also come with two different condiments. I also buy the veggie tray to go with it.

HLS made a really nice platter with wraps, sandwiches and salads for a group that included vegetarians & meat (chicken) eaters. Everyone was happy & the food was a little more varied than standard. Catering, with wraps cut in half, was less expensive than the regular menu.

Shoprite also does a good job with sandwich or wrap platters

Whole Foods has some reasonably priced sandwich/wrap platters as well - I remember being happy with them.

If the venue is in Montclair you may try the Brookdale Shoprite in Bloomfield...their sandwiches/wraps are really good. Used to get them for work when needed in Bloomfield.
