Should have said I'd be willing to pay someone to come and do it in the event you're reluctant to share your secrets.
I'm no iPhone expert, but can you do a hard reset to just wipe out what's on the phone and start from scratch?
Hopefully this will be helpful.
I am told (by my spouse) that Madonna has stated she prefers younger men because they are good with phones.
I think this will be helpful

More info
I started a new job in September and was given the cell phone (iPhone 6S) which was held by my predecessor. The problem is that the phone has his Appleid on it which is constantly prompting for updates. I've spoken with my predecessor, he does not remember the PW or perhaps is unwilling to give it. The corporate IT department did some setup as far as proprietary apps and stuff but they can't help. Apple store can remove the ID, but requires paperwork showing purchase of the phone. That, of course is nowhere to be found.
Does anyone have any advice on how to remove this Appleid? I've done lots of googling but found nothing.
