Any hand car wash locations nearby??

Are there any hand car wash locations in our area? Closest i know is the car wash on grand st in jc near turnpike and gold car wash in bayonne.. Was wondering if there are any local options.

Mr. Bubbles on Springfield next to JiffyLube (and across from VauxHall post office) is all hand wash.  No machines.

Brilliant, exactly what i was looking for--and conveniently on my way home from work!

Dropped by at 5:45 but was told they had already closed LOL oh well

What about the car wash on Irvington near Ward?

Havent tried them, but ended up going to the place @kmk suggested and liked it very much! The place I normally use in JC use to be good, but now uses same rags for wheels as they do for the body of the car, which is not a good idea if you want to keep the paint nice and shiny! the places on Springfield ave on the other hand uses different rags for body and brushes for wheels -- i like it

I've found that that car wash simply doesn't really do a good job. For what it is worth, the best I have found, and it isn't a hand wash, is Finish Line, which is on Freeman Street in Orange.  They also have two more, one on Rte 10 in East Hanover and the other on Broad Street in Bloomfield.

my vote, by far, is for car wash on Irvngton Ave.   I think they're meticulous outside and inside using compressed air afterwards on outside and to dust interior.

There is another hand wash in West Orange on Main Street, name escapes me, that is also very good.

I've had 2 (recent) bad experiences with my convertible at Finish Line, won't go back.

I looked it up and the one on Main street in West Orange is West Orange Hand Car Wash -- will give that one a try at some point too since it is very close to me as I'm in the Gregory area.

I have tried Finish Line, but I much prefer hand wash places since I'm a car geek and get pretty anal about my cars surprised

Mr Bubbles opens when some of the machine car washes are closed due to weather.

I also recommend "Cleanway Hand Car Wash" on Irvington Avenue in South Orange (Seaton Village).  My wife an I have been going there regularly for 20 years and never had a problem with any of our vehicles - their prices are good and have very caring employees (will bring a scratch to your attention etc.)  I also find everyone very smiley there... a rarity in our hectic region.

Be sure to pick up a frequent user card - 10th basic wash is free.

I used to swear by Finish Line and listed them a few times on MOL. But lately...not so much. My inside windows are always smeary and have a residue on them. The vacuuming has been spotty at best. I don't know what's going on with them. My last visit was a nice December day. I had had dog hair on the backs of my seats and I asked would they be able to get either all of it off or most of it. They had done a good job in the past but I knew to ask/point it out. He assured me "no problem - all off." Great! Well, they didn't get it all and they didn't get some -- looked the same to me. Later I got the hair off myself using packing tape. I have to find another place as well...
