Another nod to SOPAC

At age 73, Leo Kottke, was still a wonder on his guitar and also extremely funny in a stream of consciousness kind of way.  $37 for 6th row seats.  SOPAC is a convenient, inexpensive gem (no home town cooking here - I'm not from SO or involved with the theater)

I was a SOPAC skeptic and I do live in South Orange but I loved seeing Leon Russell when he first appeared and returned to see his show the following year.  Now that he is gone, I'm so happy that I got to see him in this intimate setting. It is a great small venue to catch a favorite artist.

Also saw Madeleine Peyroux so a pretty interesting selection of performers.

We heard Kottke at SOPAC last time he played there, and he was GREAT. Find ourselves interested in more and more of their shows, and feel that SOPAC has finally figured out how fill the house with interesting artists who are interested in playing that size hall. I have been a skeptic too, but things seem to be looking up.

As one of SOPAC's original volunteer ushers, I've waited a long time to read such ringing testaments...
