It's great that you appreciate those two songs, but, as an artist, don't you want to give credit to the proper people?   As great as both Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra have been, they are (mostly) irrelevant to your renditions, unless you are consciously trying to copy their vocal styles. Folks should know that "The Christmas Song" was written by Bob Wells and Mel Torme.  And "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.   There have been different versions of that song, originally the most depressing Christmas song ever.  Before one version appeared in the movie that it was written for, "Meet Me in St. Louis,"  Judy Garland (supported by others involved in the movie) put her foot down and refused to sing the original lyrics unless some of them were changed.  And then when Sinatra came along, he asked the original writers to change some additional lyrics to make them also less depressing.  They complied, but Sinatra's only contribution to the actual composition of the song is that request.

Thanks Chopin! We have all of the composer credits on the YouTube page for each song and the Village Green actually did a little story each week about the songs with some of the historical information included.
