ADHD Parent Support Group

New Group forming for parents of children with ADD/ADHD. The group is open to anyone interested in collaborating with other parents to find solutions and support for the everyday challenges and successes. Group will meet on Tuesdays at 7pm in Maplewood. RSVP required before the group gets started. Group is free but we are requesting a $5 donation to cover the cost of the room rental and light snacks. Please contact Laura at 973-493-5060.

Thanks Laura. How will your meetings differ from the ADD/ADHD parent support group run by the M/SO school district's Parenting Center (http://www.theparentingcenter.info/)?

Will your background in art therapy factor into the way issues are addressed?

Hi papyagirl and Kristin,
So sorry it took so long for me to respond. The group begins this coming Tuesday and will meet every Tuesday at 7pm. It sounds like this group is very much like the one offered by the district parenting center. There will be participants from other towns nearby Maplewood/SO. We will meet weekly instead of monthly and yes, I will occasionally offer the group the opportunity to do art to help facilitate discussion.
