ADA/Accessible Nail Salons for Pedicures

Are there any nail salons in the area that do pedicures on ground level?  Every one I know of has those big chairs that you have to climb up on, and when you have a wrenched back (like I do), it isn't gonna happen.  I know there are salons in NYC that do it the old fashioned way, but I'm looking for one around here.  Thanks for any advice you can give.

I bet MaryAnne at Staynd Color (fka the Chelsea Set) would be able to help.

Staynd Color itself is not handicapped accessible.  If the OP is unable to handle stairs, the OP will not be able to enter the salon.  Once in the salon, sitting on one of the chairs should not be a problem.

I've been there before and the chair is in a very awkward position and you do need to climb into it.  Thanks anyway.

I've never had a pedi..so am not familiar...
but by LAW, they must accommodate a disability by allowing you to sit in an alternate chair..of course you could have to spend thousands on a lawsuit to get them to comply.....don't count on the USDOJ...they just send a form letter 18 months later saying they don't have time to investigate....
I did google pedicure chairs and it came up with many chairs you don't have to climb into.

Tell me about it!  I could write a book (not only about the USDOJ but also our elected local officials who turn a blind eye and ear....).
