From NYT today, fascinating and scary. Amazed to read that Romney viewed him with contempt - and fear.

I was going to comment to the effect that it is more evidence that Obama is responsible for Trump. It would have been sarcastic of course.

Then I realized that Obama didn't start it. Trump did, and I do not know why and this article doesn't delve into it. What made Trump support the birthers? 

You could see his humiliation and rage when Obama made fun of his hair. You could see he was winding up for just this moment. He's so gut-level happy to.be menacing and ripping this country apart. Under that ugly rug he's wearing, he's a skinhead.

To me Obama's comments were like a Celebrity Roast. Why didn't Trump take it that way?

Trump has a pathologically low sense of self-esteem. He must have had horrible parenting, because he's just sick. He can't handle satirical jabs, and hates and fears other races, religions, and people different from himself. Obama touched his egomaniac nerve. This is the revenge cycle now, wherein he is disrupting Obama's society. 

I think we're seeing BHO Unchained. Time to let out all the accumulated bile of the last 7 years. Imagine reaching the apex of American political life and also a racial milestone only to be the target of delegitimization from the GOP.

The guy's relatively young and should be a strong political leader for years to come. 

President Obama will be there.
