A workshop at the Morris Museum led by water color and miniature painting artist Diane Israel. Ages 16-adult. Part 1: Saturday, October 18, 10am-12pm Part 2: Saturday, October 18, 1-3pm Enter the world of miniatures by creating your own miniature painting in a two-part workshop. Part 1 will focus on what a miniature is, and how size and proportion relate to one another and are handled in a miniature painting. Then it will be time to paint your own masterpiece. Don’t think you have drawing skills? Not to worry! Your watercolor will be painted without using a pencil. In Part 2 of the workshop, you will create a still life miniature, building on your new skills. Basic rendering techniques will be covered in preparation for your next piece. At the end of the workshop, we will view some framing ideas for your miniature works of art. Supplies and brushes will be available, but feel free to bring your favorite paints or brushes if you wish. Sign up for one or both of the session! Part 1 OR Part 2: Museum member $45 / Non-member $55 / Short supply list Parts 1 & 2: Museum member $80 / Non-member $95 / Short supply list (Preregister for both to receive discount)
