WORDS event: Spring Chicken author Bill Gifford

Bill Gifford is coming to Words Maplewood\'s Bookstore on Saturday March 21 at 7:30pm to talk about his new book, Spring Chicken: Stay Young Forever or Die Trying. Spring Chicken is a full-throttle, high-energy ride through the latest research, popular mythology, and ancient wisdom on aging and lifespan—from wrinkles and baldness down to the innermost workings of cells—that examines how human beings might be able to live longer, healthier lives. Bill Gifford is a freelance magazine journalist whose work has appeared in a wide range of national publications, like Wired, Men’s Health, and Outside magazines. He has enjoyed occasional periods of full-time employment (as executive editor of Philadelphia magazine and features editor of Men’s Journal), but has always gone back to his first love, which is writing.
