Wildflowers in the Natural Web

How do wildflowers entice pollinators and seed dispersers to help them reproduce? How do plants protect themselves from being eaten, and how does this benefit other animals, including people? Which plants provide nesting material for birds? At the April meeting of the Maplewood Garden Club, Mary Anne Borge’s presentation, “Wildflowers in the Natural Web,”’ will answer these and other questions. Mary Anne Borge is a Naturalist and Instructor at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and a certified Pennsylvania Master Naturalist. Her photography has appeared in numerous publications, and she is a frequent contributor to Butterfly Gardener magazine. She enjoys sharing her fascination with nature through her writing and photography at www.the-natural-web.org. The public is welcome to the meeting, and light refreshments will be served.
