Well-Strung Quartet at SOPAC

Event Date: March 21st, 2014 at 8:00pm - 10:00pm
Address : SOPAC, One Sopac Way
Town : South Orange
Information:

On Friday March 21st at 8PM, Nancy And David Fine Jewels in downtown Millburn will present a benefit concert event with the group WELL-STRUNG at the South Orange Performing Arts Center(SOPAC). WELL-STRUNG is comprised of four hunky musicians that move seamlessly performing a fusion of classical & contemporary pop songs playing three violins and one cello together with singing along with an electrified & invigorating stage presence. It’s Mozart meets Lady Gaga! They are by no means a traditional string quartet. Their rousing and unique style is unlike anything their audience has ever experienced before. Called the \"hottest things with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in \'The Hunger Games\'\" by the New York Daily News, Well-Strung features the music of Mozart, Vivaldi and Bach as well as new arrangements of songs by Pink, Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, and more. The all-male, all-gay quartet dazzled attendees at the North Jersey Pride Festival in Maplewood last June as one of the day’s headliners and have sold out live shows all over the country. The proceeds from the concert will benefit North Jersey Pride, a 501(c)3 that produces the North Jersey Pride Week and Festival in June; SOPAC; and local charitable non-profit groups. Well-Strung is making a TV appearance on The Today Show with Hoda & Kathy Lee on Tuesday, March 18th, 9-10am. This event is sponsored by Investors Bank, and Nancy And David Fine Jewels. For additional event information or to purchase tickets, please go to www.SOPACnow.org
