Make a Pop-Up Book with Abby McBride Ages 5-7 Thursday, November 6, 10AM-12PM Learn how to create your own illustrations with the art of pop-up book pages. Combine pages to make an amazing pop-up book. Museum member $40 / Non-member $50 / $5 supply fee Pop-Up Book Workshop with Abby McBride Ages 8-12 Thursday, November 6, 1-4PM Learn the basics and beyond of making pop-up book pages to create 3-D illustrations. Combine your pages to create a one-of-a-kind pop-up book. Museum member $50 / Non-member $60 / $5 supply fee Comic Character Design with Patrick Andruskiewicz Ages 12+ Part 1: Thursday, November 6, 9:30AM-12:30PM Part 2: Friday, November 7, 9:30AM-12:30PM Learn how to create a strong character, both visually and in personality and story line. Start by washing bands of water color paint on paper, then drawing fantastic architecture and figures in ink, from your imagination or a photo reference. You will also enhance a water color still life of fruits, containers and fabric by your final definition of shape and darkening of the deepest shadows in ink. Create a piece of art using collage with sculptural features. Learn how to add 3-D elements, and then fill them out in a way that combines these two genres for a unique work of art.
