Taking the Lead Against "Modern Slavery

Wyoming Presbyterian Church in Millburn takes a lead against “Modern Slavery” led by Church Elder, Robert Boneberg and Pastor E. Nicholas Van Gombos, the Wyoming Presbyterian Church of Millburn will present an Overture at the PC (USA) annual General Assembly this month in Portland, Oregon. The Overture, calling for increased awareness of and advocacy against forms of modern slavery, if passed by the national body, will be a strong step toward national and international support on behalf of the enslaved, bonded, and indentured persons, estimated at 46 million today. Sunday, June 12, 11:15 am at WPC (432 Wyoming Avenue, Millburn), a discussion will take place on the current Overture and a planned initiative in our local communities. The public is invited.
