Join the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race and the SOMA Action Racial Justice Committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 7:00 PM to learn more about the issue of reparations from an informed panel that includes Khalil Gibran Muhammad - Ford Foundation Professor of History, Race and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School and Laurie Beachum, Esq., Director of Communications for New Jersey Institute for Social Justice (NJISJ). Members of the panel will provide the historical context supporting reparations and will inform participants about related NJ legislation efforts that are currently underway. Panelists will also answer questions from the participating audience using the Zoom Ask a Question feature.
