Event Date: July 15th, 2015 at 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Address : DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Ave
Town : Maplewood
Information:

Swing Town, Maplewood\'s 20-piece community big band, invites student musicians who play saxophone, trombone, trumpet, guitar or bass to join us to play great music, learn from adult players, and have a lot of fun. Play a wide variety of jazz/swing and rock tunes, an enjoyable experience for young musicians of all skill levels. This rehearsal includes an improvisation workshop led by Swing Town band leader Ben Williams. No sign up required, just stop by the DeHart Community Center with your instrument. The students who participate are invited to perform with Swing Town at their Maplewood Community Pool performance on July 29 sponsored by the Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs. There is no cost to participate, though a donation to our community organization would be greatly appreciated. Swing Town is one of the several amateur community bands/ensembles operated by Maplewood Community Music, a nonprofit that is dedicated to performing free concerts and offering free youth music enrichment programs throughout Maplewood and the surrounding communities.
