Superintendent’s Book Club The community is invited to participate in Superintendent Brian Osborne’s new Book Club. His first selection is: Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. Dr. Osborne will lead a panel discussion that will include Dr. Dweck, who will participate live via Skype from her office at Stanford University in California. Mindset is a simple idea discovered by world renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dweck in decades of research on achievement and success—a simple idea that makes all the difference. Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity in the worlds of business, education, and sports. Thursday, January 24 7:00 pm in the CHS TV Studio, 17 Parker Avenue, Maplewood, NJ Community members are invited to attend the panel discussion as a member of the studio audience. The discussion will also be shown live on SOMAtv and online. Viewers who wish to participate will be able to submit questions via email and Twitter. Copies of the book may be borrowed from the Maplewood and South Orange Public Libraries and purchased at a 10% discount from [words] Bookstore.
