***PLEASE NOTE DUE TO EXPECTED INCLEMENT WEATHER THIS EVENT WAS MOVED FROM MARCH 7 TO MARCH 11TH*** The season of Lent calls us to fast and pray. One way of doing this as a community is to gather to share a simple meal of soup and bread as a reminder of our common journey through Lent. During the season of Lent we are called not only individually but also as a parish community to conversion. Through this Lenten practice we try to be like Jesus, who fasted; who shared meals with friends and gave alms, who prayed and taught us how to pray. We need volunteers to help prepare, donate and serve the soup, welcome our guests. Tickets are available in Bernard Hall $5.00 for adults $2.00 for children and seniors Proceeds will support the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) at St. Joseph Parish. IHN provides temporary shelter, serve and nurture homeless families around our area. It brings the faith community together to help families regain their housing, their independence, and their dignity.
