The South Orange Symphony opens its 67th season with conductor Susan Haig of Summit, presenting music by Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Albright on Sunday, November 15th at 3:00 pm. The orchestra will be accompanied by a chorale of local singers for a performance of selections from Albright’s An American Dale, first performed ten years ago as part of the Community Coalition on Race’s Two Towns in Harmony project. Chorus and soloists will also perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Second Symphony with the orchestra, also known as “Hymn of Praise.†The concert will be held in Sterling Hall at South Orange Middle School, 70 North Ridgewood Road, South Orange, NJ.
