The Society of Musical Arts Orchestra continues their concert season on Sunday, March 22, 2015, 4 pm, at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 550 Ridgewood Road in Maplewood. \"Contemporaries\" features four famous composers of the late nineteenth century: Mahler, Delius, Debussy, and MacDowell, all born within the years 1860 and 1862. Guest artists on the program will be Patricia Turse on harp, and baritone David Murray. The Society of Musical Arts (SOMA) was founded by the famous Maplewood violinist and music teacher/author, Samuel Applebaum. For over thirty years, the SOMA orchestra has brought together friends, neighbors, and musicians, both professional and amateur--all for the love of music! All are welcome!
