A Spring Choral Concert will be given by the Rutgers-Newark University Chorus on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 8:00 PM in St. George’s Episcopal Church, 550 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood, NJ. Under the direction of John E. Floreen, the 40-voice chorus will present a varied program, including works by Billings, Faure, Foster, Beach, Mendelssohn, along with special arrangements of folksongs and African-American spirituals, all reflecting the rich cultural diversity of Rutgers-Newark. For the past 17 years, Rutgers-Newark has been ranked the nation’s most diverse university campus by U. S. News & World Report. Assistant Conductor of the Chorus is Susan McAdoo and the accompanist is Brian Harlow. The concert is open to the public and tickets will be available at the door. Admission is $25, preferred seating; $10, General admission; $5, Students and senior citizens.
