Rummage Sale

Our Rummage Sales are unique in that all proceeds go directly to community work and grants programs, including the “Oasis” program that provides food to families in Irvington every month, the “Mobile Meals” program, which feeds 200 homeless in Newark every month, as well as scholarship grants and programs with Harmony Education and Life Partners in Irvington. To find out more about our Outreach programming or to sign up for a project, visit www.CommunityChurch.org Senior Minister of Community Congregational Church, The Reverend Dr. Johann Bosman, said, “The Rummage Sale for Charity at Community Church helps us to help others. All of the money raised goes to benefit those in need. People who have donated items to the sale get the benefit of knowing their items will be put to good use. Those who purchase at the sale are getting great bargains, so it all comes full circle. We invite everyone in the community to come out and support the event.” The Rummage Sale for Charity includes a Boutique section for higher-end Women’s and Children’s clothing. The sale also includes furniture, housewares, electronics, toys, and sporting equipment. Donations of gently used items are accepted 24 hours a day at the drop box located behind the church. TVs, computers, books or large exercise equipment cannot be accepted.
