Robotics Competition -Elementary and Middle School

You probably knew about the robotics event at CHS High School this weekend, but did you know that there are two Robotics Competitions coming up at South Orange Middle School? These events don't feature the high school students, but elementary and middle school students from your town. For the second year in a row, South Orange Middle School has been selected to host the NJ State Championship for this age group. Elementary and Middle School Students from around NJ and as far away as Massachusetts will unite at the South Orange Middle School for the following three robotics competitions. These action-packed event will each feature more than 25 teams who will collaborate with other schools in a series of back-to-back robot challenges. Participants will strive for the championship title by strategically executing the game High Rise, driving robots they built and programmed. Garden State VEX IQ Qualifying Events (two separate events on the same day) November 22, 2014: 9AM-11:30AM (Morning) November 22, 2014: 1PM to 3:30PM (Afternoon) NJ State Championship for VEX IQ December 13, 2013: 10AM - 12PM All three events are free and will take place in the South Orange Middle School Cafeteria, 70 N Ridgewood Rd, South Orange, NJ 07079.
