Information:

The public is invited to join us on Wednesday, March 12th at 1pm for our grand-reopening when the Maplewood Memorial Library officially joins the BCCLS consortium of 75 libraries in Essex, Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties. We will have ribbon cuttings at both the Main Library and the Hilton Branch Library followed by refreshments at both locations. Any person who lives, works, pays taxes or goes to school in Maplewood is entitled to a free Maplewood library card. If you don’t have a card, please come in and get one – your card is about to increase in value. BCCLS is a consortium of libraries in northern New Jersey. Maplewood will be the 75th library in the consortium. By joining BCCLS, Maplewood residents will have access to more than 5,000,000 items. Maplewood Library cardholders will have walk-in privileges at the other member libraries and will be able to place requests and have materials delivered to Maplewood within a matter of days. BCCLS will also provide enhanced eBooks and eResources for our residents. We are looking forward to celebrating this ultimate shared service.
