Symphonic rock pioneers Renaissance, featuring singer Annie Haslam, reunite for two unforgettable evenings at NJPAC. The band performs rarely heard songs and favorite classics spanning a 40 plus year career, including “Ashes Are Burning,” “Song for All Seasons,” “Northern Lights,” “Sounds of the Sea,” and debuting new material from their recent album Symphony of Light. Acclaimed for blending progressive rock with classical influences and symphonic arrangements, the band has brought its tours to stages worldwide – from Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic to The Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Haslam’s five-octave voice and the masterful songwriting skills of the late Michael Dunford remain at the core of Renaissance. Symphony of Light, their first studio recording in 13 years, features songs that bathe the listener in flavors from far off countries, with lush orchestral arrangements and compelling lyrics, adding to a repertoire that includes such acclaimed albums as Turn of the Cards and Scheherazade and Other Stories. In addition to Haslam, the current incarnation of Renaissance includes Rave Tesar keyboards, Leo Traversa bass guitar, Tom Brislin keyboards, Frank Pagano drums and Mark Lambert on acoustic guitars. Produced with John Scher/ Metropolitan Entertainment Dates: October 9th, 2015 October 10th, 2015
