Poetry Workshop with Theresa Burns

Develop a poetry writing practice with an experienced writer, editor, and teacher. Emphasis is on sharing and discussing students’ work in a supportive environment, while encouraging them to stretch in new directions. We’ll look at great poems by emerging and established poets and explore elements of craft, such as form, revision, line breaks, ekphrastic poetry (poetry inspired by art), and more. Open to beginners and experienced poets writing in all styles. Cost is $150 for five Thursdays from June 2 to June 30, 7 to 9 pm, plus one bonus class to accommodate any makeups.
