Panel - World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day

The Millburn-Short Hills Kiwanis Club, in conjunction with the Millburn High School PTO, will present a Suicide Prevention Awareness Panel. The Panel is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 7pm-8pm and will be held at the Millburn High School Cafeteria. The Panel will be moderated by Inya Chehade, MSW, LSW, Chief Executive Office of the Bridge, with guest speakers from The Trevor Project, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Contact We Care. The public will have the opportunity to learn about suicide prevention resources and crisis intervention organizations, discuss potential warning signs and how to guide someone to seek assistance. Depression and suicide effects all communities and it is the goal of this Panel is to further educate and provide self-empowerment.
