Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra

Ever since Vladimir Spivakov founded his Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra in 1979, it has been the “gold standard” for similar ensembles. Hand-picked by Spivakov, each orchestra member is a ranking soloist drawn from the principal chairs of the great orchestras of Russia. Spivakov himself, a violin virtuoso, will be the soloist in a Friday, May 16, 2014 at 8pm program of Italian baroque music for strings plus other works by Vivaldi, Boccherini, Rossini and Tchaikovsky.
