Mo’Nique is a comedian and actress who gained national fame for her comedic role in UPN’s The Parkers, while making her name as a great comic. Mo’Nique headlined the hit Queens of Comedy tour, whose album earned a 2002 Grammy nomination, and was the first woman to host NBC’s Showtime at the Apollo. She transitioned to film with roles in Phat Girlz, Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins and earned an Academy Award, as well as other honors, for her portrayal of an abusive mother in the 2009 movie Precious. Bruce Bruce, the host of BET’s Comic View for two seasons, captivates audiences with his improv skills and larger-than-life comedic style. He has been showcased across the country for years, entertaining audiences young and old and from all backgrounds. Capone, born Derrick Lee and straight out of the Bronx, hosts Harlem’s legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater. The funnyman is CEO of D.D.L. Enterprises and teaches the comedy business to up-and-comers at no charge once a week. He has performed at such venues as Caroline’s Comedy Club and has toured with the N.Y. Kings of Comedy, Def Comedy Jam in England and Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star Comedy Jam. Smokey is one of the top urban, as well as mainstream, stand-up comedians in the country. He is able to blend impeccable comedic timing, clever punchlines and bold physical comedy into one completely sensational stand-up routine. Smokey has been cast in starring roles in such Rocafella films as Paper Soldiers, Death of the Dynasty and State Property 2, and was a comedic staple on BET’s Comic View. On TV, he has appeared on Russell Simmons Presents: Def Comedy Jam and P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy, both on HBO. Tone X, previously seen on The Mo’Nique Show on BET, is the featured comedian on Mo’Nique’s national comedy tour.
