Miriam Eisenstein Ebsworth: Teaching Language as a Vehicle for Peace

“Actionthroughwords,” an online course for English learners, explores the work of the UN worldwide to promote peace, health, and understanding. Originally designed for adults, a group of high school English learners act as consultants and reflect on the content and affordances of technology. Dr. Miriam Eisenstein Ebsworth, consultant in developing the site, is Director of PhD Programs in Multilingual Multicultural Studies at NYU Steinhardt, New York NY. She resides in South Orange NJ.
