MEND 35th Anniversary Celebration

Please join us at The Newark Club for a very special evening as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Meeting Emergency Needs with Dignity (MEND). MEND will honor Rep. Donald Payne, Jr., WhyHunger, and Catholic Charities as well as its 18 interfaith food pantries across Essex County, including Our Lady of Sorrows in So. Orange and St Joe's in Maplewood. MEND is a 501c3 non profit, and provides much support to its pantries in terms of food and funding. MEND is the oldest and largest anti-hunger coalition of food pantries in Essex County. Since 1980, more than 1.5 million neighbors have passed through MEND's pantry doors to feed their families. In 2014, MEND pantries in total served 100,000 individuals.
