Maplewood Adults: What can you do in Maplewood Library’s new Maker Space? Maplewood Library’s new Create Space at Hilton Branch offers a variety of high-tech equipment and software for a multitude of creative applications. The Create Space is outfitted with a Maker Gear 3D printer, a laminator and a color printer, as well as 12 Dell laptops loaded with Rhino 3D CAD and other productivity software. Project kits for experimenting with electronics, circuits and programming include Little Bits, Snap Circuits, Raspberry P+ and SparkFun Inventors Kit. Current Create Space activities include Rhino 3D CAD workshops, coding clubs for kids and teens, and drop-in hours, with expanded activities planned for the summer. The Create Space has the potential to be a great resource for adults too. We are starting a monthly Maker Meetup for people ages 17 and up. Come to the first Meetup on June 18 to brainstorm ideas on how to get the most out of the Create Space. Would you like to learn coding or 3D design, expand your knowledge of electronics, or be part of an invention team? All ideas are welcome! Information Technology Librarian Robert Nealon will facilitate the discussion. Thursday, June 18 6:30 pm at the Hilton Branch Create Space
