Il Volo

Il Volo, the Italian pop vocal trio seen by millions of fans on PBS and on tour with Barbra Streisand, sing their popular renditions of “O Sole Mio,” “Il Mondo” and “Smile.” Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble – “three voices, one soul” – formed their supergroup in 2009 and have been enchanting audiences ever since. Their self-titled debut album, released the following year, was an inspired collection of standards, operatic selections and soulful ballads, such as Diane Warren’s “La Luna Hizo Esto” and “Painfully Beautiful,” both written for Il Volo. The group’s second studio album, We Are Love, pushed further into pop while maintaining a classical sensibility (Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” U2’s “Beautiful Day”).
