Known for her four-octave vocal range and songwriting finesse, Grammy nominee Alice Smith was raised on gospel, pop, soul and a little go-go. At Horizon Foundation Sounds of the City, NJPAC’s outdoor concert series, expect to hear an intoxicating mixture of pop-rock and R&B as she performs hits (“Fool for You,” “Dream”) and new material from the album She. Since 2006, when Smith released her debut album For Lovers, Dreamers & Me, and her beginnings in New York’s Afro-punk scene, she has evolved into a goosebump-raising stage presence. Smith’s fans have followed her around the globe to catch her live shows at famous venues like Joe’s Pub in Manhattan and Le Zenith in Paris – and now NJPAC!
