For the fourth year, the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race will bring young families together to share a musical experience that encourages including others who may not look like or think like us. The main production, Rusalka – It’s the Voice, is an adaptation of the Czech version of The Little Mermaid told through song and dance complete with costumes and opera arias. A musical rendition of Dr. Seuss’ The Zax will round out the event, adding drums, bass and dance to the narration of this tale of non-compromise. Performances are at 10 AM and 11:30AM on Saturday, March 22 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), One SOPAC Way, South Orange New Jersey 07079.
