Address : 108 Baker Street
Town : Maplewood
Information:

Join us on Monday mornings to start your week off right! Do you struggle with an internal dialogue where you worry about failure and weakness, while striving for self-discipline and self-control? While we all might spend time and mental energy on the idea of self-discipline, how often is it constructive or lead to the results we desire? Dr. Rob Handelman\'s six-week workshop will utilize his unique approach to self-care: Compassionate Self-Discipline. Within a supportive atmosphere, participants can achieve the results they want through a process of learning about how to relate more effectively to the negative voices in their heads. The Compassionate Self-Discipline workshop will explore which motivating factors work, and which don’t work, as well as learn about the process and cycles that can lead to destructive behaviors. Participants will set realistic and achievable goals, explore effective ways to self-soothe, learn to recognize the difference between real choices and reactions, the links between thoughts and behavior, and the importance of planning and structure. The Compassionate Self-Discipline Workshop meets on Monday mornings from 9:15 to 10:30 am. Workshop dates: October 15, 22, 29, November 5, 12 and 19 All classes are $240 per 6-week session and meet at 108 Baker Street, Maplewood, NJ.
